Our Infrastructure goal – Provide improvements to water quality, in-home air quality, community center/school and transportation
In January, 2018 we will pilot a community health survey to determine broader community infrastructure needs. We also intend to bring several smokeless stoves for mothers to test in their homes in an effort to improve indoor air quality. A recurring health problems in the community are adult respiratory and eye issues stemming from reliance on open wood stoves in homes with no ventilation. We plan to bring several types of stoves and have mothers, who tend to do most of the cooking, try them for a year and share with us their evaluation in 2019.
